December 2015

December 17th & 18th

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Here are the photos from our fun classroom Christmas party. Thank you to all of our special helpers who were there to lend a helping hand.

Can't wait to see everyone back at school on Thursday, January 7th!

December 10th & 11th

We had another fun, busy, & festive week of learning in our classroom. Students learned the letter R & the number 9. Our theme was trains, and on Friday we had fun pretending that we were passengers on the Polar Express! Enjoy the photos below!

Students colored a train engine and added train cars that spelled their names. The letters weren't glued down so students could practice this fun activity at home, over and over again.

Students made "blingy" ornaments with their photos.

Everyone did an AMAZING job at our Christmas program. I must say, our kiddos make some adorable, little reindeer!

Learning the number 9 and doing some matching.

"All aboard!" Students had to have their tickets checked before they could board the train.

Enjoying some yummy Christmas cookies & chocolate milk with marshmallows. Life doesn't get much better than this.

LOVE the festive Christmas pajamas!

Students colored a picture of hot chocolate and then glued on real marshmallows! Those will come home next week. :)

December 3rd & 4th

This week was a busy one, so there are a lot of photos. Look out for the captions in between.

Students got creative with the Christmas ornaments they painted from Earth & Fire. Thank you to all of our special helpers!

The kiddos are doing an awesome job in the Minds-in-Motion room, aka: The Green Room. Since the weather hasn't been the greatest, we've been going in there instead of out on the playground. They rotate to the different stations like pros!

Our letter of the week was G for gingerbread! Each student made a cute & very glittery gingerbread man of their own.

Handprint Christmas trees are Mrs. Karen's specialty. Look for them in the hallway outside of our classroom.

Eight is great! (Our number of the week.) All of our students did a great job pointing and counting from left to right.

Look at these cuties! Preparing to entertain everyone at the Christmas program.
